Notes

Part of the electronics is on the top board. If the bottom board is powered on with diagnostic bios and the top part disconnected, it hangs at a blue screen.

Specimens

MV1B - 00

This one presented the "click of death".

• Dead GA2 (NEO-BUF), causing short on data line. Replaced with 2x 74HC245
• Dead GA1 (NEO-BUF), causing erratic behaviour on data line (board booted only when cart slot was... massaged). Replaced with 2x 74HC245
• Replaced dead RAM1 and 3 (probably caused by GA2)
• Also replaced RAM 2 and 4 as safety measure
• Replaced RAM5, died during testing
• Battery backup removed
• Replaced Z80, was giving communication error during testing
• Corroded trace in proximity of D4990
• Replaced all electrolytic caps
